2012 has been fun

{wishing you all a late happy Christmas and an early merry new year}

I've been taking a break from the wood and doing a little cake making instead. And a lot of cake eating. And as a last minute thought I figured it to be the perfect time to wrap up the year with a few of my favorite instagram moments. Wishing you a year full of succulents and cactuses and cake and whatever your hearts may desire! Cheers!

 Happy New Year!

  7. Dear Ariele, I am wondering what that thing could be, what it is used for, the thing on pic 17 from 21 on this post, left beside the cactus, in front of the framed drawing and behind the hammer.

    1. That wooden thing you are referring to is actually an icecream cone roller, for making your own cones from scratch. Pretty isn't it? Thanks for your question Klaus!

    2. Yes, a pretty thing. A richness of pretty, wonderfulful things, things with a history, the ability to tell storys and your keen sense of discover, locate and choosing these things, your phantasie in using this wonderful old materials, wood, chairs and your gift to tell stories about all that. Great blog. It insinuates me: Why not making such a wonderful table yourself. Could be some great days. Stop! You havend even a saw! Lets see!

    3. I think that's actually a wooden pestle for a conical food sieve, similar to this one:

      I've got one I love — and now I have a new use for it: shaping ice cream cones.
